# How to Stake $PEPU

Staking rewards are distributed per block, currently at a rate of 6.34 $PEPU.

Your rewards are calculated based on your share of the total staking pool. The more $PEPU you stake, the higher your % of the pool. **New stakes are subject to a 7 day lock**.<br>

* Per block: 6.34 $PEPU total is distributed
* Your portion: Based on your % of the pool
* Rewards are dynamic and will adjust over time
* Monthly Estimate: (Annual % / 12)
* Daily Estimate: (Annual % / 365)

This model ensures sustainability and fairness as the network grows.<br>

It only takes a few steps to start earning:

1. Visit <https://pepeunchained.com/en/staking>
2. Make sure you're connected to Pepu L2
3. Connect your wallet
4. Confirm your $PEPU tokens are on Layer 2
5. Choose your stake amount and hit Stake

Once staked, rewards start accruing block by block
